Komrads is a Rochester, NY, based darkwave/industrial project led by Zachary Burnett. The music is largely made up of analog synthesizers, drum machines, digital samplers and bass guitar with moody baritone vocals.
In 2018 Komrads released their debut album Resistor. The record was engineered and mixed by Joshua Pettinger at Wicked Squid Studios and mastered by the legendary engineer, Brian "Big Bass" Gardner (Outkast, 2pac, NIN). Komrads supported the record with the Resistor Tour in June of 2018 covering parts of the northeast and midwest U.S.
In 2019 Burnett ambitiously embarked on three tours spanning eighteen states and two provinces in Canada. The Spring Rituals tour in March, Eternal Seance tour supporting The Russian White (Lost Glacier Records), and the Never Is Now tour supporting Tim Skold (Ex. KMFDM/Marilyn Manson - Cleopatra/Metropolis Records) and Echo Black. Komrads released a new single in 2019, Scatter The Ashes, which was received with critical acclaim by outlets such as Post-Punk.com and Brutal Resonance.
Komrads kicked off 2020 with a series of festival dates in the pacifc northwest supporting Ritual Howls, Minuit Machines, Astari Nite, and many others.
